If you choose not to install Self-locks on the feed alley of your dairy facility, Artex has several options for you. We have been working directly with dairymen across the world to provide all the best alternatives to the Self-lock and we have installed several different types of feed fronts over the years. Artex offers Swinging feedrail and two types of Sliding feedrail. Each option has it's own benefits.

We have two types of Sliding Feedrail Brackets. Some Farmers choose to have a little gentler rail in front of their cow as opposed to a rigid rail. One type U-bolts to a steel post which will allow you to adjust the height of the rail to suit your needs. The other type is a more cost effective method but will require on-site welding to a steel post.

Artex Swinging feedrail has similar characteristics to the Sliding feedrail but will allow you to drive along the feed alley with a skidsteer or loader to clear the feed from in front of the cows without the brackets protruding into the alley.
